About Hickory Small Animal Hospital

Hickory Small Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital offering quality, compassionate, innovative veterinary medicine. We opened our doors in March 2009 with the goal of offering the best veterinary care possible and in that short time we have evolved into the fastest growing and most technologically advanced veterinary hospital in Tangipahoa Parish. Every year our clinic evolves so that we can keep up with the latest in veterinary medicine. To accomplish this we add on to our facility, staff numbers, new equipment and new medical protocols.

Every business decision is made to improve or expand on the level of patient care we offer and/or to make our client's experience a memorable one. Our patients will not only receive the latest in veterinary medicine but will be treated in a compassionate manner because we believe your pet is a member of your family.

We promise that our hospital will never become complacent with the level of care we offer. We will forever evolve so we can always be the standard of veterinary care for Tangipahoa Parish. As proof, in 2014 we became the first AAHA Accredited hospital in Tangipahoa and Livingston Parish.

Since we opened our doors we have experienced rapid growth resulting in our hospital being recognized in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 by the LSU 100. No other veterinary hospital has acheived this. The LSU 100 identifies, recognizes and celebrates the 100 fastest growing LSU Alumni owned/operated businesses in the world.

We Recycle / Giving Back to the Community

As our business grew, we noticed the amount of trash we were creating became astronomical. It was then that we started our recycling program. All cardboard, recyclable plastics, tin/aluminum cans and paper are recycled. All paper is shredded before being brought to the recycling center. Since we started our recycling program, the amount of trash that actually made it to the landfill was cut by 60-70%. To give back to the community that has supported us so well, we have adoped South Oak St, from W Coleman to Phoenix Sq, in Hammond's Litter Watch Adopt-A-Road Program.
